Joe was appointed to the Board in November of 2006 and was elected to a 4-year term in the spring of 2007 and in 2011. Joe moved to Atwood from Champaign in 2004, and lives with his wife and four kids. He works at  Parkland College Business Training and serves on the Village Board in Atwood as the Chairman of the Civic Improvement, Tourism, and Special Projects Committee. Joe also serves on the Streets, Alleys & Mosquito Control and the Buildings, Insurance, Parks, Waste Management and Property Management Committee, and previously served for four years on the Police, Safety & Health Committee. Additionally, he represents Piatt County and Parkland College on the Board of the East Central Illinois Economic Development District and is a Board member for the Central Illinois Human Resource Group. Joe is also serving as President-Elect in 2012 of weTRaIN, the largest training organization in Illinois. Joe is a VFW and American Legion member, having served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps between 1995 and 2003 including a tour in Iraq as a Vehicle Commander conducting light-armored reconnaissance.
